Abstract

Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) has gained prominence in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classrooms for its effectiveness in promoting meaningful communication. TBLT emphasizes authentic language use through tasks that engage students in meaningful activities (Willis, 1996). This approach is particularly beneficial for developing writing skills, which can often be challenging for learners. Writing involves cognitive processes such as planning, drafting, and revising, which can be effectively scaffolded through task-based methodologies (Graham & Harris, 2003; Harmer, 2004). By focusing on tasks that mimic real-world writing scenarios, TBLT prepares students for practical language use beyond the classroom.
