Abstract

This article examines the use of Total Physical Response (TPR) in instructing English for Specific Purposes (ESP) to adult learners. Although it has been traditionally linked to initial language learning, TPR's focus on kinesthetic learning and diminished stress presents distinctive advantages for adult ESP learners. The abstract suggests that integrating TPR can boost vocabulary retention, enhance understanding of intricate technical language, and encourage more assured communication in particular professional settings.
