AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY IN UZBEKISTAN (IN THE EXAMPLE OF UZ DAEWOO)

This article covers the establishment, development history and role of the Uz Daewoo Auto Co. automobile plant, established in cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea, in the country's automotive industry. It provides information on the plant's production capacity, manufactured car models, and its impact on the domestic and foreign markets. The article also examines the economic and social significance of the plant, its contribution to creating new jobs, and its role in attracting foreign investment. This study aims to analyze the important role of Uz Daewoo Auto in the industrial development of Uzbekistan. At the end of the article, recommendations are given for the future prospects of the Uz Daewoo Auto project, diversification of the automotive industry, and the introduction of leading technologies. The researchers note, in particular, that the focus is on increasing the share of local components, strengthening cooperation with research centers, and expanding export markets.
